Valenzuela-Alvarado LLC, was founded in Hato Rey, Puerto Rico, May, 1st, 2011 by attorney José Enrico Valenzuela Alvarado. The Firm provides legal cost-effective services directly to clients or as of counsel to different law firms, in areas such as torts, medical malpractice, civil rights, ethics, employment, torts, contracts, personal injury slip-and-fall defense, general civil litigation at administrative agencies, state and federal courts, as well as appeals before the P.R. Court of Appeals, the P.R. Supreme Court, the First Circuit Court of Appeals, and the U.S. Supreme Court. Despite the wide range of legal services, the Firm's lawyers perform their duties pursuant to professional knowledge and skills with appropriate accuracy and attention.

Valenzuela-Alvarado LLC provides legal assistance, advice, counsel, services, and consultation in connection with all civil, appellate, ethics, and administrative matters, including, without limitation:
  • Defense in State and Federal Courts;
  • Assistance in the drafting and/or revision of legal pleadings;
  • Proactive assistance and counseling in discovery, pre-trial, trial proceedings and at appeals level;
  • Reviewing extrajudicial claims, provide legal advice to the client in connection thereto, and give adequate counseling protecting the best interest of the client;
  • Counseling and methods to avoid civil litigation;
  • Drafting legal opinions, as requested;
  • Availability to answer staff questions and/or consultations by telephone, when needed;
  • Defending clients before the Puerto Rico Department of Labor and Human Resources, the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity
  • Commission and in state and federal court against any labor related claim.
  • Legal counseling on issues related to medical malpractice.
  • Pre-litigation service in which the witnesses should give a full declaration of circumstances of the potential case, and any other interactions between the possible plaintiff and the defendants.
  • Counseling in intellectual property and entertainment law.
  • Counseling and litigation in family law matters.
  • Appeals before the Puerto Rico Appeals Court, the Puerto Rico Supreme Court, the 1st Circuit Court of Appeals and the U.S. Supreme Court.
  • Counseling in legislative affairs.
  • Defense in personal injury cases.
  • Counseling and litigation in diversity jurisdiction cases at the Federal District Court for the District of Puerto Rico.
  • Counseling, mediation and litigation in civil rights cases at the Federal District Court for the District of Puerto Rico. (E.g., sexual harassment, sex discrimination, political discrimination, American with Disabilities Act, among other Federal and State statutes).
